BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING/SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELECTORS
November 24, 2009 Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
A. Chairman Bartel called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
B. Present:
Chairman Lester A. Bartel, Jr.
Supervisor Steve Schaefer
Supervisor Nancy Rogers
Town Attorney Steve Hahn
Town Clerk Jessica Schmidt
Town Engineer Kristen Lundeen
Town Planner Amanda Schaefer
Town Treasurer Janice Strachota

Absent: Supervisor Tom Grabow, Supervisor Tom Sykora
II. ASSURANCE OF PROPER NOTICE
1. Action-Town Clerk Jessica Schmidt assured the meeting was noticed properly
III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
IV. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
1. Chairman Bartel explained that item V New Business (transfer of fund from contingency account) did not need action and should be removed from the agenda
2. Action-Supervisor Rogers moved to adopt the agenda as amended, seconded by Supervisor Sykora. Motion carried 3-0
V. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2009, at 7:00 pm, at the Town Hall, 1230 11th Avenue, Grafton, WI a Public Hearing on the 2010 Proposed Budget of the Town of Grafton will be held.
1. Chairman Bartel opened the public hearings for all items at 7:07 pm.
2. No one wished to speak
3. Chairman Bartel closed the public hearings for all items at 7:08 pm.
B. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2009, immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the 2010 Proposed Budget, which begins at 7:00 pm, at the Grafton Town Hall, 1230 11th Avenue, Grafton, WI a Special Town Meeting of the Electors, called pursuant to Section 60.12(1) (c) of the Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board will be held for the following purposes:
1. To approve the 2010 highway expenditures pursuant to section 82.03of the Wisconsin Statutes
2. Action-Bob Wolf moved to approve the highway budget of $385,500, seconded by Janice Strachota. Motion carried unanimously
3. To adopt the Town Tax Levy to be paid in 2010 pursuant to section 60.10(1) (a) of the Wisconsin Statutes
4. Bob Wolf moved to adopt the 2010 Levy of $1,238,913.00, seconded by Janice Strachota. Motion carried unanimously
C. Transfer $25,096 from the contingency account to cover operating expenses for 2009
VI. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS DEEMED PERTINENT AS ALLOWED BY LAW
A. None
VII. ADJOURN
1. Action-Bob Wolf moved to adjourn, seconded by Steve Schaefer. Motion carried unanimously
