I. CALL TO ORDER

II. PLEDGE TO FLAG
III. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
A. Commissioner Tomter suggested the addition of appointment of new committee members
under Old Business.
B. ACTION – Commissioner Tomter moved to adopt the agenda as amended, seconded
by Commissioner Uihlein. Motion passed unanimously.
IV. REVIEW & APPROVE MINUTES
A. ACTION – Commissioner Wilkinson moved to approve the minutes from February 26,
2007 meeting, seconded by Commissioner Rauser. Motion passed unanimously.
V. OLD BUSINESS
A. Annual meeting
1. Open Space does not have a set role at the annual meeting, members are urged to
attend,
B. Appointments
1. Jon Rauser, Matt McLaughlin, and Shaun Graff’s terms expire June 2007.
2. Matt McLaughlin will not be seeking re-appointment and Bob Fuller is no longer a
resident of the Town and is unable to serve.
3. Don Korinek would like to serve.
4. The Town Board will need to approve the nominations.
C. Brochure
1. Changes were made and the final will be presented by Liz Wessel.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. Presentation by Scientist, Brian Lennie of Bonestroo of the draft Open Space Overlay Map.
1. Presentation of the draft map by Scientist Lennie.
2. Commissioners discussed how to map future possibilities and additional horse trail
locations.
3. Commissioner Tomter suggests courting property owners that retain open space on
their own.
4. Southern canoe launch area could be moved to reflect the existing launch at Lime
Kiln Park.
5. Next steps; construct a draft impact fee study and comprehensive outdoor recreation
program (CORP).
6. Equestrian path should more of a multi-purpose path, excluding motorized and
possible bicycles.

7. The trail should be named equestrian/hiking/cross county skiing/snowshoeing trail.
8. Changes to the draft map include; moving the southern canoe launch.
9. Commissioner Graff suggested the southern launch be placed on Bratt’s Woods
property which is owned by the Ozaukee/Washington Land Trust.
10. Other changes include; trail’s northern limits would be Flying S ranch and southern
limit is the equestrian loop already shown on the map, hiking trail along WE Energy’s
property and the fly ash pit,
11. Commissioner Graff explained a trend in golf courses seeking rezoning to sell off and
develop open spaces. The commissioner should consider what can be done with the
Town’s two golf courses.
12. ACTION – Commissioner Tomter moved to approve the draft Open Space
Overlay map with the following changes; the southern canoe launch be moved
north and additional trails throughout the Town, golf courses be differentiated
on the map; seconded by Commissioner Graff. Motion passed unanimously.

VII. RESIDENT CORRESPONDENCE/PERSONS WISHING TO BE HEARD.
A. None.

IX. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS DEEMED PERTINENT AS ALLOWED BY LAW.
A. Commissioner Tomter reviewed the appointment terms and conditions.
X. ADJOURN
A. ACTION – Commissioner Tomter moved to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner
Uihlein. Motion passed unanimously.
