OPEN SPACE COMMISSION MEETING
January 25, 2010

I. CALL TO ORDER
A. Chairperson Rauser called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
B. Present:
Chairperson Jon Rauser
Commissioner Marjie Tomter
Commissioner Steve Wilkinson
Commissioner Dorothy Boyer Commissioner Shawn Graff arrived at 7:09 pm Scientist Brian Lennie
Clerk Jessica Schmidt
Absent: Commissioner Mike Uihlein, Commissioner Don Korinek
II. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
1. ACTION-Commissioner Rauser moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Commissioner Tomter, motion carried 4-0
III. REVIEW & APPROVE MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
1. ACTION-Commissioner Tomter moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Boyer, motion 4-0
IV. OLD BUSINESS
A. Multi-Use Trail Grant Update
1. Scientist Lennie stated that there are two landowner contacts that will take place this spring.
2. ACTION-No action taken
B. Update on Canoe Launch project
1. Scientist Lennie presented a modified plan that reflects minor changes in the parking lot of the canoe launch.
2. Scientist Lennie presented a timeline of the bid process for this project.
3. The Open Space Commission will review the bid results at the March 2010 meeting and will make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. The launch should be open this summer.
4. ACTION-No action taken
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Prioritization/ranking of prospective parcels to preserve open space
1. Scientist Lennie explained the options of identifying and ranking parcels to meet the goals of the Open Space Commission.
2. At the February meeting Commissioners will discuss the criteria and how to assign points to parcels.
3. ACTION-No action taken
