OPEN SPACE COMMISSION MEETING
February 22, 2010
I. CALL TO ORDER
A. Chairperson Rauser called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
B. Present:

Commissioner Marjie Tomter
Commissioner Steve Wilkinson
Commissioner Dorothy Boyer Commissioner Don Korinek
Scientist Brian Lennie
1. Absent: Commissioner Mike Uihlein; Clerk Jessica Schmidt, Commissioner Shawn Graff
II. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
1. ACTION-Commissioner Rauser moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Commissioner Tomter, motion carried 5-0
III. REVIEW & APPROVE MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
1. No action taken, will be adopted at the March meeting
IV. OLD BUSINESS
V. NEW BUSINESS
1. Superior Coastal Visual Quality Report
2. Scientist Lennie gave a brief overview of the first 27 pages of the Superior report and Commissioners discussed options for ranking parcels against the Town’s Outdoor Recreation Plan, Comprehensive Plan and the Open Space Commission’s goals.
3. Multi-use trail update
4. Chairman Bartel and Scientist Lennie met with the Teskers to discuss easement opportunities. The meeting went well and staff will follow-up with them soon.

VIII. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS DEEMED PERTINENT AS ALLOWED BY LAW
1. Commissioner Tomter gave an update on the meeting with Dr. Maurer. The Town/staff will reconnect with Dr. Maurer to further discuss options.
IX. ADJOURN
1. ACTION-Commissioner Tomter moved to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Rauser. Motion carried 5-0
