PLAN COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday, April 4th, 2012
I. CALL TO ORDER

II. CLERK’S ASSURANCE THAT MEETING WAS PROPERLY NOTICED
1. ACTION-Clerk Raffaele assured the meeting was properly noticed.
III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
IV. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
1. ACTION – Commissioner Hefle moved to adopt the agenda as presented, seconded by Commissioner B. Wolf. Motion carried 7-0.
V. REVIEW & APPROVE MINUTES
1. ACTION – Commissioner Hefle moved to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by Commissioner Heisler. Motion carried 4-0 with Commissioners B. Wolf, D. Wolf, and Tutewohl abstaining.
VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS - OPPORTUNITY WILL BE AFFORDED TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES IN BEING HEARD CONCERNING:
A. Town-Initiated Rezone of Fire Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse from A-1 to B-1, 2241 Hwy W, Tax Key # 06-006-13-006.00, Rezoning Application.
1. Chairman Bartel opened the Public Hearing at 7:03pm.
2. No one wished to speak.
3. Chairman Bartel closed the Public Hearing at 7:04pm.
4. Planner Schaefer read the Staff Report into the Public Record.
5. Chairman Bartel stated that this rezone also helps if the golf course were to go out of business, the Clubhouse could still stay as a functioning business.
6. ACTION: Commissioner Sperber moved to approve the Rezone of Fire Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse. Commissioner Tutewohl seconded the motion. Motion carried 7-0.

A. POD/Self-Storage Ordinance to Consider
1. Attorney MacCarthy presented a draft ordinance to consider regarding the POD/Self-Storage containers & drop-boxes and regulation by the Town.
2. Commissioner Heisler stated that when he moved to Grafton, he rented a couple PODs and the City of Milwaukee threatened to ticket him because there was no paved or improved area to place the POD. He believes regulation is necessary regarding these storage units.
3. Commissioner Sperber questioned if the canvas “car-ports” are covered under this ordinance.

XII. ADJOURN
1. ACTION – Commissioner B. Wolf moved to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Heisler. Motion carried 7-0.
